Wednesday’s Industry Luncheon Speaker is Jim Mathis, owner and two-time president of WyoTech in Laramie, Wyoming. WyoTech, a renowned technical training institution, specializes in preparing graduates for careers in the automotive, Collision/ Refinishing, Diesel and Welding industries, which are experiencing significant demand for skilled professionals. 

Mathis, a respected rancher and businessman from Wheatland, Wyoming, acquired WyoTech in 2018. Since Mathis’ ownership, the school has seen substantial growth, expanded its offerings, and increased its reach to better serve students and industries alike. 

As a former student of WyoTech, Mathis has a unique, personal understanding of the profound impact that technical education can have, not only on the ranching sector but also on a broad range of industries across the nation. His career has consistently demonstrated a commitment to providing hands-on, practical training that helps students become highly skilled professionals, ready to meet the needs of America’s workforce.
